How can I list my home or business with the Michigan Film Office for a filming location?
Our online submission is currently limited to 10 photos. To submit a location just CLICK HERE.

How can my community be more film friendly?

How can I list my myself with the Michigan Film Office?
You may list in our production directory if you are a Michigan resident and have professional credits.

Does Michigan offer any incentives to film there?
No.  The incentive program ended on July 10th, 2015.  Any agreement signed by July 10, 2015 will executed in good faith and in accordance with the law.

Where's the film crew?
The lion's share of the crew is in Southeastern Michigan, or metropolitan Detroit (approximately 2-3 features deep). You can also find a 1-2 features deep crew base in Grand Rapids. There are small pockets of crew in Traverse City, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Saginaw, Flint, and Manistee.

Are you union or right-to-work?
As of April 1, 2013 Michigan will become a Right-to-Work State. Our IATSE and Teamster Locals are highly skilled and very friendly. Bring them a small or big budget - they'll make you an offer that works. Union Contacts
